Default Is there a chance of me seeing 1080p in a 26" set?

Is there a chance of me seeing 1080p in a 26" set? So far, I only see 720P sets for that size and would rather spend the extra if I had to. Anyone know of one that is out or coming?

I know ATSC is the digital Tuner for over the air HD, and QAM is the cable tuner. What do they call that over the air tuner for seeing tv listings? I loved having that in a RCA TV we have. Dying for it in HDTV.

You could opt for a 24-27" LCD computer monitor from Dell. But you would need an external HD tuner and sound setup.

Honestly, if you want to see that just buy a computer monitor. As far as TVs go, at that size, you don't really need 1080p. 720 is good enough and a lot less costly too.
My monitor is 24", and there is a 30" model available that supports greater than 1080 (1920x1200 for the 24").

Or just wait until the new Apple computers have BD, they usually have optical audio out for surround sound, and their monitors are excellent (a bit pricey though). The new iMac has 1080+ resolution and if you can get a BD drive, it will run anything you want (although the sound is a different matter with the iMac, only the Tower has the optical out that I know of).

Do they? That's cool. I am a little dated on them since I have an older mac laptop and wasn't sure what the output/input of the current macs are. I am planning to buy a new one next year, but only after I save up more money for it.
Thanks for the info.
And welcome to the forum.

There you go tron3, wait till macs have BD and you will be all set.

If it wasn't for the fact I am also a smart alec at times, I'd have to beat someone up right now.

But we are blu-brothers here, so it's all good.

Depends on the viewing distance. In this case very very close for TV but perfectly standard for computing. The viewing experience would be akin to PC gaming. Otherwise no, you wouldn't be able to distinguish 1080p from 720p.
