Australia Jurassic Park JB Hi-Fi Exclusive Steelbook 8/22/12

Just $15.98 over at JB Hi-Fi

https://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/...eelbook/669636

I've been waiting for a US single release of the first film(not coming out anytime soon) since I'm no fan of the sequels and this looks like the cheapest Steelbook option out there. I also ordered the first BTTF, didn't like part 2 and 3 in that trilogy either

No word yet on region coding but my guess would be region free just like the trilogy and standalone amaray release

$24.24 aus dollars inc delivery for jurassic park steel to UK works out as £16.14 so over the £15 limit to avoid tax and royal mail charge of £8.50.I would of bought it but not paying £8.50+vat

You'll be fine though, delivery charges don't count towards the limit. It's the goods that are taxed and that's the value that counts, not the postage.

If JB Hi-Fi mark the package then it'll say $15.98 - or £10.62. Customs aren't going to then count the stamps and include that as well.

If the cost of goods to the UK is £15 or under (without the P&P) there is no tax to pay, if the cost of the goods is over £15 you pay tax on the cost of the goods and the P&P.

Ps, does anyone know if JB HiFi are customs friendly?

They have been with me in the past - have had orders for $25, $33 and $58 (all before postage) and all have come through fine.

When you are checking out on their site, they give you an option to mark the transaction as a gift. That way they won't print the price on the shipping label.

That's complete rubbish. They legally have to have a price on the shipping label. By requesting an item as a gift during the order process, means that the item won't include an invoice inside the package. Even if the item has a value of zero, that still needs to be included on the front for customs purposes.

OK, my bad. I misunderstood what they meant by the gift option. No need to get fired up.

I'm not "fired up" at all. Just explaining details further for those who might also be confused by that option.

Aslong as you're sure they're not shipping together or you'd be caught then.

I placed two orders, separately, with one Steelbook in each, will they be shipped to the UK in one package or individually?
