Stir Crazy Blu-ray

Stir Crazy Blu-ray Review

Image Entertainment will release the comedy Stir Crazy on Blu-ray this winter. Director Sidney Poitier's 1980 box-office smash stars Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory) and Richard Pryor (The Wiz) - in their first comic pairing since 1976's Silver Streak - as two best friends forced to deal with life behind bars after they are framed for a crime they did not commit.

Image's Blu-ray presents the film in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1, mastered for 1080p and containing a 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio track. While the full list of supplementary materials has not been confirmed, early reports suggest the disc will include all previous DVD features, such as:

Trailers
Talent and filmographies

Someone said on the main web page under the listing the other titles also scheduled the same Day Dec 6th is See No Evil, Hear No Evil, A Soldier's Story, Adaptation, The Toy, and Nothing in Common.

This played on TMC HD the other night. This movie is still damn funny!

The only thing I don't like about this movie is that it ends abruptly. How can you have an "escape prison" scene and not show the reaction shots of the Warden and Craig T. Wilson, as well as showing the capturing of the two bank robbers?

I watched this recently and turned it off after the jail scene.

It doesnt hold up for me anymore. It was gut-busting funny in the theatre and HBO.

Just an fyi ...

I have this pre-ordered at Amazon but I noticed that Walmart list the price at $11.96. So I emailed Amazon to price match or I would have to cancel my order, and they did.

It's only $2.00 but every bit helps. Might want to try it if you also are buying it from Amazon.

Can't wait to watch this. Now if they would only release Silver Streak on blu ....

It's still incredibly funny after all of these years, and the print looks gorgeous. Great buy at $8.
