The single RCA out directly below the component "monitor out" is the center channel pre-out. The two subwoofer pre out RCA jacks are 3 jacks to the right of the center channel jack....directly below the "IR in/out" label.

I'd guess the two directly above the +(positive)post for the Left/Surround speaker are both the same(dual mono). They should both give you the same output. The one way to the left is an INPUT for a DVD/BR player that has 6-8 channel analog output. Tom V. |

You know now that I look closely at the back panel
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-RJ8ctsi...TX-NR1009.html Those dual subwoofer outputs have a different "backround" around them. One backround is all white. The other is the "plaid" type of backround that covers the majority of the rear panel outputs. Now----the manual sez the signal is the same for both outputs(page 13 I think?). But I wonder why they would have the two different backrounds like that? Maybe it is just to designate a "primary" and a "secondary" output----even though they both do the same thing? The only other spot on the panel I see the same practice is the dual HDMI outputs. And., again, according to the manual....they are outputting the same signal. Not too hard to see why stuff like this makes it a little tougher to "get used" to a new receiver.. ![]() Tom V. |
