Blockbuster Box Sets Discussion Thread

For those who don't know, Blockbuster Box Sets is a guy who makes custom slipcases/Hardboxes for those of us into nice packaging.

So, anyone know what the deal is with his PayPal situation? He's under "review", which means we can't use PP for purchases at the moment. He canceled all the Elm Street collection slipbox preorders and refunded everyone but I only got $50 back, not the whole $99 plus tax and shipping. I decided to use the money for something else. His work is fantastic but I only use PP fror purchases so I'm going to miss out on all the upcoming stuff unless the situation is resolved.

Yeah, I’m not sure what is going on. He explained on FB and it sounds like he was making a high amount of money at a fast rate and so PayPal put him on hold. I dunno. It’s all over my understanding.

I got the Rocky box set a few weeks ago and to say I was blown away by the overall product would be an understatement. It is beautiful! High quality art, study packaging. It’s really amazing. I preordered the Halloween box set because, again, it just looks amazing. I had to use a credit card since his PayPal is still down, it seems, but I can’t not get that box set! So far, his responses to emails has been super quick not to mention his shipping of the Rocky box set was within the week. I’m excited for the future boxes he announced and I hope the site gets back up.

Hopefully you’ll get your other money back from the refund.

This happens a lot with eBay/Paypal. People who make money at a fast rate start getting investigated.

A buddy of mine sold ALOT fast on eBay and he ended up getting banned cause they thought he was selling drugs. It happens.

The Halloween set is amazing, I display it in my A/V rack, also have the Rocky, Back to the Future, Evil Dead, Indiana Jones sets as well and will likely get his Nightmare set unless that steelbook set blows me away.

I ended up pre-ordering the nightmare on Elm Street boxset. Like you I used PP for everything I am trying to remove my card info with no luck. I contacted Mike from BBB he said he can't access that information it squarespace's deal. I doesn't look like there is an option. If anyone knows if it's possible let me know.

So he refunded my $99 for the Elm Street cases for the second time. This time, I never actually saw any of the money. The refund went into my Pay In 4 loan. Does anyone know how that actually works? The refund was "credited" to it after the loan was paid up, so where is that money? I was fully expecting the money to be sent to my PP balance. What a clusterf**k

I don't have experience with the PayPal pay-in-4, but through another one (maybe Shop?), I had a seller cancel an item after I had already made 2 payments. It took several days, but it eventually appeared back in my bank account.
