This is an interesting problem. The Blu-ray player on my computer reads this fine even without a 3D monitor. Plays it like a regular Blu-ray. But, when I place it in a PS3 or a regular Blu-ray player, it sees it as a 3D movie only and requires a 3D TV. Not sure if there's a fix for this since there's no option on either to turn off the 3D. So I'm wondering if there's some sort of work-around. It's weird.

You need to insert the Blu-ray 2-D version of the movie that came in the package. Many Blu-ray 3-D movies will detect if your equipment is only 2-D, and if only 2-D equipment is detected then the pop up message will say something like, the Blu-ray 3-D movie requires 3-D equipment.
Cyberlink PowerDVD 14 and other versions of PowerDVD software code informs the Blu-ray 3-D movie 100% of the time that 3-D equipment is connected even when only a 2-D display is connected. PowerDVD will convert all 3-D Blu-ray movies to 2-D when a 2-D display is connected. |

I got the steelbook edition so it only has the 3D version. Thought it would be like Dredd and contain both versions. Wish the thing PowerDVD does would work for all Blu-ray players.
