Good luck on that one any Bill Cosby film is screwed as while he's not in prison anymore he is still on parole, and many people despise him these days. Until Cosby dies there will be no more Blu-Ray releases of his films, tv shows, or films he starred in for now.

Yep that's a good point, but does WAC really want to take a risk with a now despised cultural, and media icon like Bill Cosby? The man has done so much damage to people who once respected him, and supported him in film, and in TV. There's a good reason why the Fat Albert show, and film have never seen Blu-Ray releases plus the Cosby show too. I personally don't see it until he dies he is getting really up there age wise. Even then it'll probably still be only his films, and not any of his TV shows.

BILL COSBY wasn't in a lot of theatrical films.
Man and Boy (1971-Western) A COLUMBIA Picture. Hickey & Boggs (1972-Action) Directed by Robert Culp. Released on Blu-ray disc by Kino-Lorber back in 2014. OOP now. Mother, Jugs and Speed (1976-Comedy) Filmed in 1974. Uptown Saturday Night (1974-Comedy) w/Sidney Poitier Let's Do It Again! (1975-Comedy) w/Sidney Poitier Piece of the Action, A (1977-Comedy/Drama) w/Sidney Poitier California Suite (1978-Comedy) An ensemble cast. Devil and Max Devlin, The (1981-Comedy) Rated [PG]. A DISNEY film. Bill Cosby: HIMSELF (1982-Comedy) Rated [PG]. A concert film. Leonard Part 6 (1987-Comedy) Rated [PG]. A 'BOMB' that even Cosby warned audiences to stay away from. On BLU-RAY from Mill Creek. Ghost Dad (1990-Comedy) Rated [PG]. Meteor Man, The (1993-Comedy) Rated [PG]. Cosby only a co-star; not the star of this one. Jack* (1996-Comedy) Rated [PG]. Cosby only a co-star here. EDIT: Looks like Cosby had a supporting role in "JACK" (1996). Starred Robin Williams and directed by F.F. Coppola. He also appeared in a few made-for-Tv movies like "To All My Friends on Shore" (1972-Tvm) and "Top Secret" (1978-Tvm). The Warner Archive could release the three Sidney Poitier/Bill Cosby pairings of the '70s on Blu-ray. Despite Bill Cosby's legal dramas and prison time Sidney Poitier remains a very well-regarded talent so it's possible they could be issued on Blu-ray. Last edited by CMG; 02-14-2025 at 10:45 AM. |
