it seems cartoon network is following in the footsteps of mtv and vh1 by forsaking the type of programming that started it for programming the has nothing to do with the channels premise.
When they started showing Goosebumps or the Spider-man and Garfield movies i went along with it because there was still some sort of connection to the cartoon world but the new programming they have started...Slamball (basketball with trampolines), Brainrush ( a quiz show on a rollercoaster), Survive This (survivor with kids), The Othersiders and Destroy Build Destroy (like Junkyard wars and hosted by Andrew WK of all people)...these shows are not only poor quality but have nothing to do with cartoons, comic books, childrens books or anything fantasy related. I realize that being 32 years old that I am not the target demographic for these programs but i just hate to see the network going down this path. So what was the decision making process here? Anybody else think this will end poorly? Last edited by charlie swords; 07-27-2009 at 05:13 PM. |
