I've been on ebay and amazon for a few months and established a very high feedback rating; things have gone quite smoothly up until this point.
However, I recently put a bestbuy edition of hunger games on sale, and have gotten a series of strange questions and implied threats from a potential customer. This customer said he had been sent fake merchandise before and reported the seller to some unspecified agencies. The customer said he would be very upset if it happened again and would definitely leave feedback. They also said they would make an immediate purchase. A couple of days later, the item was purchased. Of course I have no way of knowing if the sender of the email and buyer are the same person. The buyer has a US address and the payment has apparently cleared. I have heard of numerous international scams but this is a US customer. I am quite certain that the person emailing me intended to scam me. However, since a couple of days passed, I don't know if it's a different person or not. What's your take on this? |
