Hello, this has happened twice and its starting to concern me. My sub (Klipsch RSW-10d) is barely putting out bass while on. I can tell that the signal is there because the woofer slightly vibrates when there is a bass scene but its not nearly the amount of bass its suppose to put out. Honestly i cant really hear any. The first time this happened, i unplugged everything and reconnected all wires and that didnt help. I then shut everything off for about 30 minutes and for some reason it all worked again. Well, Its doing it again now and theres no bass. Do you guys think it may be my sub cable or maybe the reciever. Hopefully its not the sub. Has anyone ever had this issue? My reciever is Yamaha RX-V663. Thanks

I have the same sub and no problems , but you should try to check it out the settings on the sub and receiver and if you have someone from the family or a friend that has a receiver you can try to check it out on there place if it is a faulty receiver cable or the sub plate or even the fuse .

You mean the red, white, yellow cables? Does it matter which color goes in?

I seem to be having a similar problem with my Kef Kube 2 sub.
When i'm sitting watching films it just doesn't seem to be kicking out no-where near the amount of bass that it used to. I seem to have to turn it up to 3/4 to get any power from it, never used to be like that as that high was too over-powering before. ![]() I thought i'd give it a test on my brothers amp and set-up to check to see if it was faulty, but it works just fine on his. Would it be anything to do with the sub cable ? as the one i have isn't particularly an expensive one and it's quite short compared to the one i used when i tested it on my brother's amp. Would an expensive sub cable make a big difference ? |
