I have a 32 inch toshiba (32c120u) tv in my bedroom. It is a 720p TV but when I set the resolution on my BD player to auto and and hit info, the TV says "1080p". Is that just an error or its it actually in 1080p on a 720p tv? TIA

I have a 32" Sony that is 720p max, but it also displays 1080p for any 1080p incoming signal. But really, at 32" in the bedroom, you can't tell... At least I can't, and I'm fairly picky about that kind of thing. |

That just means that your TV can accept a 1080p signal, but it will downconvert it to it's native resolution of 720p.
