BIG news for people who live near a Hastings store.
I have had a love/hate relationship with Hastings for years. I love that they have a huge selection of used items but I have always hated the fact that their online prices were so much lower than in-store and they will not price match. This meant that if you wanted the lower price you had to order it, pay shipping and wait a week (at least) to get your item. Well, I am happy to report that they now have the option to buy on-line and pick up in store (provided your local store has the item in-stock). I tested the system with three different orders on Saturday. All three orders were ready to pick up in under an hour. All three had exactly what I ordered and I was able to get the on-line price plus use the on-line code "ArmedForces"(now expired) to get 30% off. Of course there is no shipping charge either, just sales tax. Here is one example. I ordered a used blu-ray that was 5.99 in store and a used cd that was 4.99 in store. The on-line prices were 4.16 for the blu and 1.29 for the CD. I then applied the 30% off code and boom, the total for both items w/tax came to 4.09. Savings versus just buying at the store = $8.73. So if you live near a Hastings store, check it out. GoHastings.com |
