Where to buy a Eureka release in North America!
In April 2024, we shall be launching our Masters of Cinema and Eureka Classics brands in the US and Canada. The North American editions will be identical to their UK counterparts (except for subtle regional packaging differences).

The first Eureka releases distributed in North America will be one of the most important and influential films in the early history of American genre cinema, Paul Leni’s The Cat and the Canary, and the action-packed superhero spectacle starring Jet Li, Black Mask.

We will have a dedicated site for our North American titles in due course

This is pretty huge, and I'm really glad to see Eureka in a position to do this. I hope it works out well for them.

Great news! I wonder what kinds of titles they'll be doing—the classics they used to be known for, or martial arts films, or both? Either way, sounds good to me

Man, best news of the day easily! I mainly hope for the Japanese titles to start being released in the US and of course HK. If we can get Revolver with Oliver Reed, well, that would be epic. I wonder if they will release any titles they released in the US that they released in the Uk that doesn't have US distribution like Revenge? Revenge is probably my most wanted Japanese film from them.

Hope it works out for them. Really curious with what kind of direction they’ll take or hole they’ll try to fill in.

Exciting news! I never thought they'd do this since it seems like their niches have been covered by all the other companies over here like Arrow, 88, VinSyn, Criterion, etc. Very curious to see what their first region A titles will be.

Always great news to hear stuff like this. But I have a feeling this will only affect future titles as most of their previous work was released in the US by other labels, or certain labels may have the rights but haven't announced/released something yet.

But I am curious with them teaming up with MVD if that opens them up potentially to films they otherwise wouldn't be able to release in the UK. I know 88 and Arrow for instance have definitely managed to put out some interesting stuff in US/Canada alone. And being region free myself, more opportunities for great releases is always welcome!

Wow, that's awesome! A year ago, I was hoping Arrow would be bringing most of the Eureka HK releases over here but they barely scratched the surface. Eureka have been killing it but unfortunately i've mostly stopped buying region B releases (I did get their 4k releases of Caligari and The police story trilogy), so if they start releasing their HK stuff here, i'll be all over them! Great news!

Interesting but mostly exciting! They’re one of my favorite labels! I wonder if they’re stick with the wider case or go the slimmer route.

There are a TON of HK titles they released in the UK that still don't have US releases. I'm curious if they will release some of these titles in the US or will they solely focus on newer titles? We'll see soon enough I suppose, maybe even with their new announcements.

Cool beans. I wonder what we'll see. I was excited when Indicator expanded to the US but have only bought like three of their releases since. Not much from 88 either. I wish they would all try to get US rights to some of their past UK titles instead of only focusing on new acquisitions forward.

I think I've bought every single 88 release so far in the US. They have been doing a great job.

Still, I agree that I hope they release some of their past releases as well. Revenge is the one I want them to release more than anything from their past catalogue. One of the best Samurai films not made by Toho.

Amazing news for those in the US, nothing but praise for Eureka - especially during the current Martial Arts boon we are in.

Now how about you guys share Shout/Scream factory with the UK now, pretty please.

Yeah, there's been a very slow roll out of previous Eureka titles in the US from Arrow and Shout Factory, that's why I wondered how many have already been licensed out to these other labels. We don't really have visibility of active deals, but I assume most of these deals were worked out long before this move by Eureka was in place. However, I wouldn't be surprised if many of their more recent titles (like ones in the past year) they acquired US rights for in advance of this move. Excited to find out!

North America is starting to feel like a crowded market, but I'm still excited! And anyway, even one disc coming from Eureka that would otherwise have come from Shout Factory is a net gain stateside.

I hope their US ordering site offers free shipping like the UK one does. That could work out for some tremendous deals overall. Eureka is one of my favorite labels and I was an early adopter of their stuff. I hope this investment proves successful for them and that they are able to hang around for a long, long time, with or without all the martial arts titles, which are rumored to be keeping them afloat.
