South Korea Miracle in Cell No. 7 - 19th Jul '13

http://kimchidvd.com/en/good/goods.jsp?good_seq=19269

Anyone seen this? I think this is the 3rd biggest movie in Korean box office history. Not my type of movie though.

Also, is this CJ entertainment or KD media?

What's the point of the really deep box? It looks like all that's in it is the blu-ray and a booklet and film cut.

There is so many space under the disc tray, which mean pointless.

The much bigger size of the DVD SE version [Novel Book + Original Film cut+ Post cards]

The box is 1 1/2" thick!
The film cut is on cardboard with thick stock and the booklet has 22 color photos from the movie. The book is about 1/4" thick and the disc holder is also. Leaving roughly 1" of unused space behind the disc. (I checked behind it just to make sure there were no hidden surprises inside. There weren't any.)

I think the idea was to make the packaging resemble
[Show spoiler]the box that his daughter was smuggled into the prison in.

Takes up space, but it's very creative packaging, for sure. A nice set.

This is a must own & see film, very touching & sad yet funny & uplifting at other times, Dal-su Oh is just amazing in his role & the whole cast & plots execution is outstanding, get it watched now, oh & bring a tissue box too. One of the best films I have seen from South Korea in a while.

The set is unique & does resemble smtg from the movie too as stated in the above post

Here is mine;

I really enjoyed it too. I had a problem with the ending though
[Show spoiler]They overturn the case. It's basically like admitting that their justice system had an innocent man killed. And yet all we got was a simple celebration from the court audience. I feel that for a country like SK that has so much pride, there should have been a level of shame applied. Like adding a scene that honored the man, or the justice system and police force admitting to their faults or something like that.

Still really good though

That shit doesn't really happen anywhere does it?. Even in supposedly more advanced countries. Look at the west Memphis three doco. That's a pretty shameful event in US justice yet I don't see no police or politicians coming forward to apologise for it.

What does more advanced countries have to do with it? US? HA, of course if something happened in the US, that wouldn't happen. I would never question that. But there is a way higher level of pride and shame in SK for things like this. Just take that Asiana flight that went down. Pretty much all of South Korea felt shame for it, despite it might not even having been the fault of anybody.
