sons of Anarchy Season 4/Disc 1/Ep 1 Issue?

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with watching episode 1 of SOA Season 4? I have watched the regular version and the Director's Cut Version and both skip at least 3 different locations in the first half hour.. Wondering if this is with all or just mine? Either way I am returning it and hoping for better.

At this point I can only get disc 3 to work in my HP pavillion laptop, running windows media center/HP media smart DvD.... Only got that disc to work once. The software for media smart came installed in my laptop, but I had to update to the free version 4.2 to even get disc 3 to work... tried popping in the rest of the discs and nothing....... Keeps giving me message to check for updates over and over again each time it tries to load the discs, no matter if I choose yes, or no, the check for updates loop just keeps coming up. Tried restarting and other small tweaks(launching directly from media center, etc....) to no avail. Changed region code a couple of times. Im not too media savvy, can only change region code 5 times and I have no clue what that even means... None of this worked..... Also have PS3, which also will not play ANY of these discs, sounds like its trying to load them, but I get no icon on PS3 XMB....

Purchased from Target, which disc 3 is labelled target exclusive, but also contains the final chapter of the episodes..... Still searching for any information on how to either correct this or will take this back to target ASAP..... Anyone with opinions or info will be greatly appreciated....

Only time Ive ever not been able to play Blu-ray on either of my devices......

At this point Ive been back to target only to find I can only trade in for same BluRay..... Which they are currently out of. Ive done a little more rooting around and hp BD ROM BC-5541H is the device thats installed on my HP pavillion. I downloaded some cyberlink device scanning program and it scans my device and says everything passes inspection EXCEPT for software to play Blu-ray movies..... I don't know how this is possible, since Ive watched a ton of Blu-rays on here since buying the computer, although its been a while... I click on the info next to the scan and given option to purchase a product for 84 bucks... etc etc.... Well the software came with computer, why do I need to buy more???????? Anyone know how to go about finding out how to recover the original software that was loaded onto this computer?? All hardware drivers and everything are up to date.....

Again, I have PS3 that also wont play the discs and never EVER had any problems with blu rays on it either...

So I guess target has my money tied up until I can try another copy of this......? And if that doesnt work... Not sure what to do
