The Omen
Just saw the orignal on Blu last night, enjoyed the film itself a lot more then I did the first time with the excellent cinematography, strong acting performances with well written characters and a stunning musical score being some of the highlights of the overall direction of a well told story with a good script, but did anyone feel the transfer whilst sometimes quite good, did look a bit smudgy with some uneven noise? I'm not talking about the inherent grain pattern because that looks naturally structured, its just sometimes (mainly during in door scenes) tended to look a bit messy so to speak. Maybe this has to do with the source negative because I did notice some scratches and roughness near the beginning too, but that soon became a non-issue.
I think for example The Godfather was a much much better looking transfer (though it did have the benefit of being restored.)
Haven't watched the other 2 Blus yet, but I do like Omen II.
Anyway just wondering if anyone knows what I am talking about..
