Wrath of the Titans 3D steelbook = £19 and a HMV exclusive.

If this isn't 3D and they're asking that much, it's pretty much pie in the sky pricing considering almost all new steelbooks due for release for Cabin in the woods, Avengers etc have been really well priced.

Default Any clue?

I'm on board for the 3D disk as well, Also, any guesses on what the artwork might look like? I've been alright with the steelbook releases for 1 &2 so far but the standard Bluray slip covers for all 3 are horrible! Fingers crossed that they surprise us with fantastic unseen art!

UGH!

The UK probably gets the most steelbooks in the world and still hasn't learnt to put the 3D copy in

I'm no longer going to buy a steelbooks that don't include 3D discs. I can slowly feel myself drifting away from steelnook purchases now. The UK market is getting too saturated.

Steelbooks used to be a premium product and only a few would be released a year. Now almost every single new release gets one and they are no longer the best versions to get when 3D and bonus discs end up getting left out.

As I'm sure having the 3D copy pushes the price up I'm glad there often not included, I'm not likely to be able to afford the kit to make use if it anytime soon so to me it would be extra money for no gain and I'm sure I'm not the only one in that boat.

So basically because you cant take advantage of it no one should have the choice. Nice one

3D isn't that expensive these days. Entry level costs about £400 Max for a TV with about 8 pairs of glasses and £70 for a player (if you got a PS3 then you won't even need that). There's even bundles for a 42" 3DTV Phillips 3D BD Player and 8 Pairs of glasses for £499.

I paid £1300 just for a TV a few years ago. All I'm saying is that if someone wanted to then they could upgrade easily, I'm by no means well paid but a little bit of saving and bobs your uncle.

It's your choice not to upgrade but that doesn't mean those of us who have should be penalised for it.

Not at all, just pointing out that there are two sides to it. Ideally they would release two versions of the steels, one with and one with out but I'm sure thats not going to happen.

Assuming items at those entry level prices are worth the bother than not quite as bad as I thought, still to expensive for me though.

I agree with you - I don't like 3D much at all in the cinemas, but especially at home, and to me it just feels like a gimmick. I understand that some people really like it, but I'll never get into it and I'm not going to pretend that I am by buying the 3D kit.

Steelbooks released with 3D don't bother me too much unless they have "3D" plastered all over it, and then it just ruins the look - people hark on about how age logos etc. ruin the look of an otherwise clean steel, but that's what I kinda think when there's a 3D release (and yes, I understand that I have pre-ordered Wrath of the Titans 3D but, from the artwork on the site at the moment, the 3D is in a location that doesn't bother me too much).
