Me too, I'm a sucker for John Grisham.
I heard their making a "the Firm" TV show too.
Maybe that's why this is being released.

Yeah, I heard that they were making 'The Firm' a TV show as well, certainly could be the reason this is finally getting a release.

I'm still holding out to see a release of 'CONfidence' on BD some day, I remember that, as well as 'Runaway Jury' came out around the same time. I enjoyed both quite a bit.

Amazon currently has this for $11.99, so I pre-ordered.

It is a fun enjoyable movie and Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman are great!

Yer this is one of my fave movies, it is weird why the case is different in the book from the movie though, i actually watched this movie before reading the book which is unusual as I normally read the books first.

I watch this almost every time I see it on HBO or Cinemax. I'll probably upgrade now since it's pretty cheap.

This is a good movie. Underrated IMO. Not overdone with the story or characters. Expertly cast too. It's a movie that should age well and hopefully continues to stay in circulation.

I wonder if this will be one of those cheap titles that will go to $5.99-7.99 quite quick...or have a coupon for it....

I've never seen the film. I am a huge Cusack fan so I was excited for it...hmmm

Curious how the transfer is though first.

This is a pretty good movie. I especially like how Gene Hackman gets "handled" and "played" by John Cusack. It has to be one of the single best performances I've seen in a film. Gene Hackman is one of my favorite actors but when you see how John Cusack and Gene Hackman get going at one another, it's almost like watching a cat and mouse go after one another. The cat always pouncing while the mouse tries to find some way to escape.

Gene and John seem to reverse roles here and there playing this back and forth "oneupmanship" on the other. It's hilarious and never lets up, not even in the end.

Screen caps on DVD Beaver look alright. Probably about the best that could be expected for a minor catalog title like this. It appears to be the old DVD master, but it appears to be unmolested by DNR or EE (unlike the screen caps I saw recently for American Pie 2

). Grain structure isn't great, but I think that's the result of an old scan, not any new digital manipulation. Worth picking up if you like the movie, so I'll be taking a flier on this one at some point.
