So I was at Best Buy...

so i was at best buy doing my part to make sure hddud didn't win this week and taking advantage of the disney buy one get one.(BOUGHT SIX BLU RAYS)
when i hear two guys by the hd dud section and one guy says to the other. you can't play blu ray on your regular dvd but you can play hd dud on your regular dvd, then he walks away as the other guy starts to pick up hd duds,one happened to be transformers. so i lean over and say, hey budy you can't play those on your dvd. you need a hddvd player for those, then he asked me what the diffrence was between blu ray vs the other guy. i explained it all to him, let him know about the disney deal, and the buy a ps3 and get 5 free. after all was said and done i saw him pay for a ps3,warhawk and four disney movies.SCREW YOU HD DUD

i work for a major electronic dept. store and i am a huge supporter of blu ray(over a 100 owned). well with the newly announced price drop of the 80gb i had a regular customer of mine buy a 1080p sony sxrd and we got to talkin about the price drop and there he went and picked up the ps3 off the shelf and both pirates movies BOGO!! it's a great day for BLU!!

I guess they figure if they can con someone into buying one or two movies($35-70) they'll go home and open them up, and try to play them. Well now they're stuck with them, so maybe they'll spring for a cheap player. Pretty sad that they've resorted to those tactics, but understandable.

and I wanted to check out the BOGO sale. When I asked an associate they had to call another associate who then looked it up on the computer who then went to talk to another associate to tell me it was just an online sale. Has this happened to anyone else because due to that I didn't buy anything from them and went to Target and bought Rise Of The Silver Surfer. It is also sad to see BEst Buy supporting HD-Dud since they had a whole section and a half of HD-Dud and a very tiny section of Blu.
