Default Donnie Darko 10th Anniversary Edition (release date 7/26/11)

Anybody else notice this yet?

Donnie Darko Blu-ray

Donnie Darko Blu-ray Review

Looks like a nice four disc set (two BD and two DVD). I was planning on picking up the "regular" version at Best Buy this weekend for 10 bucks, but maybe I should wait for this.

I was looking to pick up the current release as well, but I think I will hold off until this is out.

So, I said what the hell and just pre-ordered this from Amazon. At $9.99 from Best Buy, the current version is awful tempting, but I think I'm going to exercise patience for a change and just wait for this 10th Anniversary Edition.

Got the current version as a bday gift a few yeas ago, so I wouldn't mind buying this new version if it has a new transfer or something worth the upgrade.

Pretty cool. I never bought this one. I would still wait for it to be a bit cheaper though. The pre-order price is a really good deal, but I don't plan on watching this one all that often. It's a movie I like, but don't love. Wouldn't want to pay much more than $10, but definitely want to own the theatrical and director's cut versions.

Was hoping the two versions of the film wouldn't share a disc as one of the U.K. versions does that. Still, for one of my favorite films I will gladly double dip.

If this is just a repackage (with discs 3 and 4 being the newer discs) then disc 2 would be a DVD like in the original release.

Yep, the special features are the same as the current edition. Barring a possible remaster it looks like the only difference is that this contains a DVD and digital copy.

I've owned both versions on DVD and, frankly, I never even took the shrinkwrap off the second version....I was pretty much "over" this movie by the time the deluxe DVD set came out, and my interest never rose enough in it again for me to even unwrap the set. I sold it unopened.

I've seen DD several times, and I probably wouldn't take the time to watch this yet again, so....I'll pass.

Thats a shame. Such a great movie. Pick up something every time I watch it.

This better have higher quality PQ... At least make it where you can tell it's not a DVD. I certainly can't tell a difference between the current blu ray release and the standard DVD.

A new master would get me to buy it again as the current one is possibly the weakest looking BR I own.
