Default Pick Apart A Film You Enjoy For Fun

Just like the title of the thread says, pick a movie you have seen more than once and tear it apart. For fun, of course. The only catch: It has to be a movie you actually like. I'll start (Possible spoilers. If you haven't seen the film THE GAME, don't read on).

THE GAME (Criterion). OK, so Michael Douglas is a rich a**hole, emotionally distant, cold, whatever. His brother, who seems to be the total opposite, shows up with a coupon for some game he wants his brother to partake in. So Mr. Douglas, as miserable as he seems, actually agrees to participate in the application process (yeah, right - why not just pay his way past all that?) and even submits himself to an all-day medical exam (??). Why bother? It's just a stupid game, right? He's above all that nonsense. Doesn't he have a workforce to fire or a maid to belittle?

And I think the people running the game went a little overboard by dumping Douglas in some Mexican hellhole without a passport or money.

What about the news anchor who was in on it? Really? You got some highbrow newsguy on a foreign program to participate in this thing? Guy must've really needed the money. Or maybe he knew someone on the CRS payroll and was doing him a favor. Or not.

What a great movie, though!

Again, this is purely for entertainment only. No heated debates or name calling. Feel free to talk about (and pick apart) as many movies as you like. Pun intended.
