Back on January, I ordered the collector's edition of Avatar and Batttle Royale (back when the latter was available for preorder at 19.99). The total price included twice a 2.68 import fees deposit. Back on March 7, Avatar was shipped and I was charged the 2.68 deposit and I ended up not paying any import fees.
Today, they shipped Battle Royale without charging the fee. Can anyone tell me what is Amazon's normal procedure concerning the pay back of the deposit (if they do such a thing...)? Thanks |

I look at Import fees sort of like Mail in Rebates (MIR's). If you get them back, then its a bonus because usually you dont (I dont!). So the real price to me is the one which includes import fees if any. Buying the movie thinking you'll get the import fee back and budgeting that way isnt reliable.
Not sure about ordering from the U.S. to U.K. different systems all together. Again, I would look at the total price as final. Anything you get back is a gift that you shouldnt be expecting. |

These are the rules for importing via mail to Canada from the US:
If the order (not including shipping) is under $20, and they precharge you import fees...they will be reimbursed. If the order (not including shipping) is under $60 AND marked as a gift, and they precharge you the import fee...they will be reimbursed. Sometimes anomolies occur, but those are by the book. |
