I purchased a Sony KDS-A2000 SXRD back in February at a steal of a price from Amazon (with free white glove delivery), and I've been nothing short of amazed with its picture quality. Even over-the-air HD signals look good, not to mention how great Blu-rays perform on it. I realize that my model is no longer available, but you can currently find the KDS-A3000, which is similar.

Default 52 lcd samsung

I have the 52 lcd samsung 1080p. It has 1.3 hdmi and a 15000 ms refresh rate. The tv picture is awesome. I had a mitsubishi dlp 1080 but the color on the samsung is so rich. I would highly recommend it.

I second the 50/55/60 inch SXRD A3000 series set. Yo can also get a 55" SXRD at Costco with the stand for $1,699. Differenty model #, but I believe that is for tracking purposes.

As for LCD and money is no object, the Sony 53" XBR4 is awesome as well as the Sony 52" W3000 LCD.

For value LCD, the Vizio 52" set at Costco...$2,399 is very nice.

I second the XBR4 series television. I'm committed to buying one in the next 2 months. They are a bit pricey, but the 52" with 120Hz (that's 120fps support) is absolutely jaw droppingly stunning! Check it out at your local Sony Store to see why it's worth every penny.

Here's my suggestion!---------BUY PLASMA and definately PANASONIC plasmas. Also, at 50", don't bother with 1080p and save a few bucks.

If I were to go 50" or over I would definitely get the Sony SXRD. They come in 50", 55", 60", and 70", and it is the best picture I've seen on any television so far. The motion is smooth, and the blacks are stunning. I recommend checking one out at your local Best Buy.

the 5281 has LED backlites & it will give you better blacks then the sony XBR's. Sony does make one LCD tv that has an LED backlites, but last I seen it was $32,000 for a 70", yes $32k.
Will you get better blacks then with the SXRD???
Pioneer Kuro tv's, have some of the deepest blacks on ANY tv (the samsung LED tv has not be reveiwed any where that I know). I would get the 60" 1080p, if I had the $7500

pioneer 720p/1080i reveiw:
