Vizio br100 player not turning on

My player was working fine last night, I watched Netflix on it and it played well. I don't understand why it won't turn on now. Well it does turn on, but it shows the vizio logo and then shuts off. Any ideas on what i should do?
I'm looking into a new player, but would prefer not to as I am pretty tight on cash.

Nothing is working, I think the player is just dead now.

did u try to firmware update it and failed, any power loss lately, surges?

no updates lately. it would freeze and wouldnt shut off unless I unplugged it and plugged back in.

since it is rather old, you should maybe try a lens cleaner, make sure it is properly ventilated and not heating up, unplug it and plug it before watching a movie, maybe check your hdmi cable.
