Default JB Hi-Fi Shipping Times to US?

Is it taking 12 weeks to ship from JB to the US these days? The FAQ says 2-4 weeks (and 12 weeks on rare occasions). I have had six blu-rays shipped from them this year - earliest was shipped April 7 - but have not received any yet. I inquired and was told to wait until 12 weeks before reporting it not received.

It's quite a long wait - especially without tracking. I'm wondering if others have experienced this and how long it will take (I'm getting close to 12 weeks now).

My big worry is having a blu-ray go OOP and then not receiving it.

I've ordered a few Imprint titles from them this year, and they've taken 5-6 weeks to arrive to me here in Europe. Seems post out of Australia is just very slow.

I’ve had them take around 3-5mos in the past year. I just count on them arriving and they always do but it sure takes a long time.

I'm in the U.S. and just started buying from JB sales this year. I got some orders delivered pretty quickly -- weeks to a month -- at the beginning of the year, but now I have a lot of outstanding shipments, with some that are 3 months ago. Kinda sucks too that they seem to ship so many individually. I have an email contact at JB because they had to resend an item and I sent them an email about these delays, but haven't heard back. No real choice but to continue to wait anyway, but it's gonna feel like winning the lottery if I actually get all of these someday.

Back in March, I placed an order for 3 titles. 2 titles shipped on 3/9, the last one on 3/26.

I got the 3/9 shipment in late April. Still waiting for the 3/26 shipment.

I've ordered dozens of things from them and some of my orders took as long as 5 months but everything always eventually arrived.

Thanks - that is reassuring, but boy is it a test of patience. I have found that ordering direct from Umbrella is a little pricier but the items arrive in about 3 weeks and have tracking. I hear Breakdown is coming out in the states now - it will probably be out before I get my copy ordered months ago. Oh well, plenty to choose from the unwatched pile until then.

Following up on this as I received all but one of my orders and JB refunded that one. These are the two key takeaways that I have from this experience:
1. Patience - it takes forever and there is no tracking for their orders to the US
2. (SEE EDIT NOTE BELOW) Ship Dates are not factual - they may say they shipped an item and then sit on it for a month or so to add other items to it and there is no notice that this occurred. I had a blu-ray "shipped" on 4/27 that arrived with several blu-rays that shipped on 6/1. Over a month later than the email stated it shipped. And these arrived on 9/4 - three months to arrive. -

YMMV, but I definitely prefer to have tracking on my shipments, so I will look elsewhere in the future.

EDIT - #2 above appears to have been due to orders getting returned to JB and then sent out again.

Myself and others have been updating our JB import experiences in this thread, so check the last few pages. Our JB shipments fell into a black hole from March-August 2021. It appears that those shipments ended up returned to JB and then they resent them over the past few weeks.

Yeah, the only thing I'd fault them with is their CS being unresponsive for weeks, thereby causing several of us to open disputes with our credit card company. Everyone that did that got an immediate response. Imagine that?

I just want to give a shout out to JB Hi-fi. I ordered Imprint's Tales of Adventure #4 as it was OOP and I thought they had a copy. It turns out they had none in stock. Rather than simply refund my money, they went to their physical store, found a copy, and is shipping it to me!

Normally the sets in the physical store are not used for online inventory. Separate stock, as I understand. So the rep did not have to do this and went out of her way to help get a copy as she understood it is now OOP.

She is also keeping any eye when my item ships, so she can refund the GST to me!

Truly outstanding support and JB has become one of my favorite importers of Imprint.

Just wanted to share.
