Default Hybrid bd/dvd

My gf works in the media industry. She got a hybrid br/dvd of crazy heart. Anyone got any info on this? Is it rare? Could not find anything on google or on ebay? Just wondering

Sorry if this is not the place for it. Seems to fit here

Do you mean both on the same disc? I've heard of it, but it seems super rare.

I have a couple of these from Warner Brothers circa 2012 I believe. I know for the fact that the first pressing of "New Years Eve" from had Blu-ray on side A and DVD on side B. I think it was an effort to stop people from selling the DVD copy that came in the combo packs, and from rental outlets only having to buy 1 copy instead of two.

This was basically a failed experiment around 2011-2012. Source Code was another title released in this format. Some players weren't able to play them, so they quit making them. So yes, they're rare, but not in the rare-so-they're-expensive way.

I know Universal did some of these BD-59s way back in the day (Traffic was one of em), and Warners did it for Harold and Kumar 3D. But I never heard of any from Fox, or specifically Crazy Heart.

I have the first 3 Bourne movies on Bluray/DVD flipper discs, and they play fine in my Oppo. I got them for like $4 each on Black Friday at Best Buy a few years back
