Default Best Blu-ray Recording Software to Archive DVDs

Hey guys -

I've had a Blu-burner for awhile now, but haven't had time to really get into it. I also haven't found any decent software - the one I had took a .ts file and burned it on to the Blu in HD, which was nice, but the conversion it did was crap and was pretty much unwatchable. So since then I have only been using it as data backup mostly, as I just haven't had time to get into anything else.

That said, I have a large amount of DVDs that I've authored myself (so no CSS issues/etc.) that I simply want to archive on a Blu-ray. But what I would like to do is archive them in such a way that a stand-alone Blu-ray player can play them on a television.

I know a lot about DVD making (I've authored hundreds of DVDs, know the ins and outs of VOBs, making menus, etc., did it professionally for awhile, actually) but like I said, I'm kind of a newbie with the Blu-authoring. Obviously, these are all SD content on my DVDs, but the main attraction is archiving them so I can have several on one disc.

Can anyone tell me a) if what I want to do is possible, and b) what the best burning software would be? I don't care if I have to pay for it, I just want something relatively simple and relatively powerful (and hopefully, one suite of tools - although I am not shy about using individual programs, but it just would be nice if I didn't have to).

What I'd like to have is: a Blu-ray, that when I put it in, shows a menu of, say, 5 different DVDs I have archived. You pick from the menu, and it plays the content. I don't want to have to convert it if I don't have to - is there a way to "trick" Blu-ray discs into thinking it's just a big DVD?

Sorry if these questions seem silly - just trying to figure out the easiest way to archive these DVDs on Blu and hopefully have the convenience of just slipping them in a Blu-ray player to watch with as little hassle as possible.

Thank you!
