Default American Blu-Ray Case Annoyance

It's not so much the thin style, or the 'environment friendly' style cases, its the Blu-Ray logo not being embossed..

The security seal sticker that goes over the top of the case, quite often ends up pulling off some of the silver logo with it due to it just being printed on the case.. You never get this with UK/AUS cases.

Why put that darn sticker over the case if your not going to bother trying to put the Blu-Ray logo on in a better way?

Does anyone else feel my gripe?

ya the security seals are stupid should be enough that the movies are shrink wraped shut if someones going to go as far as ripping the shink wrap off to steal something i don't think a sticker is going to make them stop either.

eco cares are stupid just leaves the disc unproected. i have had a ton of movies with riped cover arts becuase of stuff putting presure on the art work and theres no platic behind it backing it.

I much prefer the thinner cases rather than the thicker style UK cases. What's most annoying about the UK Amaray cases is the two nubs on the back of the push spindle. After opening those cases I have to bend the case backwards before pushing the spindle to release the disc. Otherwise those nubs push on and dent/tear the back cover art. Not to mention the thinner cases save quite a bit of space.

A small trick to removing the security sticker without removing the logo is to lift and release the sticker from the back. Now that the sticker is only stuck the the front part of the case pull the sticker backwards (180 degrees) and slowly remove the sticker.

I remember back in the early days when the sticker was cut around the BD or HDDVD logo, good days indeed. The Enviro cases piss me off even more though, at this point why not just wrap the disk in an old newspaper

That appears to be the most common type of security sticker currently being used today on US releases but on the rare occasion the full sticker is used.

Its seemed to me at least that its a company thing, where I notice most Fox releases have the full sticker, whereas Sony doesnt. Although its starting to seem most of the time its a full one, maybe Im just not paying enough attention
