Coming in November!!

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/...me-collection/

Quote:
We announced back at Gamescom that PlayStation Plus would be coming to PlayStation Vita (PS Vita), and today we’re pleased to announce that our premium game membership will make its debut on PS Vita in November, providing an Instant Game Collection to PS Vita owners along with the same features that many of you already enjoy for PlayStataion 3 (PS3).

If you’re already a PlayStation Plus member on PS3, you’re in luck—you will automatically be able to also enjoy all the PlayStation Plus features for your PS Vita at no extra cost.

PlayStation Plus features for PS Vita available in November will include:
Instant Game Collection: Unlimited access to a regularly refreshed selection of the full versions of games as long as your membership is active.
Discounts: Take advantage of exclusive discounts on games and DLC for your PS Vita.
Online Game Storage: An additional 1GB of online storage for game saves for PS Vita games and downloaded content.
Automatic Updates: PS Vita will automatically start up at a designated time to download and install select game demos and game updates as well as system software updates and start standby mode upon completion.
Automatic Trophy sync: Trophy information will be synched to PSN servers automatically via the PS Vita.

If you don’t yet own a PS Vita, there has never been a better time to invest in the most powerful portable entertainment system. In addition to the Instant Game Collection you will be able to tap into through PlayStation Plus, PS Vita also has an arsenal of great and innovative games, like the recent hit Sound Shapes, not to mention some of the hottest upcoming titles like Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita.

So tell us–What PlayStation Plus feature are you most looking forward to taking advantage of on your PS Vita?

I bet I'll have most of the instant game collection. Unless it includes PS1 titles or something.

Really curious about the save storage uploading though.

Great news. Can't wait for the vita support. Gotta love Sony for pumping so much value out of $50/year.

Well I already own every Vita game released so far so chances are in the near future my main benefit will be the discounts. But the PS3 instant game collection has had stuff like VF5 Showdown and Double Dragon free at launch so they could always do stuff like that too.

Hmm, maybe time to get a Vita now. I'm already a + member so I might never need to buy a Vita game

That's what I was just thinking. I almost feel like my subscription is going to waste if I don't play the Vita games that come to it. Then again, I should be able to get the Vita games now and then if I get a Vita in a year or two I'll have tons of free games to play on it.

Wondering if the update includes a refund on my purchases of uncharted, gravity rush, and wipeout? Looks like being a Sony supported and PS+ member for a good year now only serves to punish it's loyal customers.

Once you update your PS Vita to v2.00 and PS Store publishes next Tuesday, PS Plus members will be able to download the Instant Game Collection, which includes PS Vita games Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Jet Set Radio HD, WipEout 2048, Gravity Rush and Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!, as well as (PSP) PlayStation Portable hit Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions.

Disappointing since I already own two of the games and was hoping for Resitance but talk about an impressive lineup...

Selection of games is fantastic.

Also:

- Email app
- Web browser update (probably the beta one, which will become the 2nd highest HTML5 compliant browser on a dedicated gaming platform after the WiiU)
- Extra 1 GB of cloud storage
- Automatic updates
- Automatic? Trophy syncs
- Content manager improved. Able to transfer content wirelessly from/to PC
- Able to play back 1080p videos on vita
- Video supports CC now. About damn time, why doesn't the PS3 videos support CC? Lol

Good update. But still no folders, even though I see folders here, but I don't know what that means.

I couldn't be happier with this lineup. Sony knocked it out of the park. Uncharted and Gravity Rush for free seal the deal, but Wipeout (which I own on card and can now load onto my Vita) and all the bells and whistles of Plus make this an even more monstrous update. Well done, Sony.

Indeed. I might have to sell my Uncharted and Wipeout copy now ...

Wonder if JSR was really delayed because of this and not because of last minute improvements.

Folders or no page limit plus making that annoying auto-dimmer they added with one of the first firmware update optional should be priority over all the other stuff though. Keep ignoring two of the most annoying problems with the system.

Agreed, they really need to set that as priority #1.

Why would you be entitled to a refund ? You paid money and got a product for the money. Just the same as when people but a game on launch and then 3 months later its cheaper. Should everyone who bought it at full price get a refund ?
