United Kingdom US BluRay cases

Hey guys, could anyone help find the specific US bluray cases used for the likes of the Pixar releases? I wanna replace all my UK ones to the thinner US ones for continuity reasons but I dont know which they are and where to buy from.

Ta!

Casetopia.

They also have an eBay store in which the shipping is a fair bit cheaper.

If you're looking to replace all your cases you might have to order different lots, not all the Viva Elite cases have hinges to put extra disc trays in and I don't think the Amaray case trays will fit as the Viva trays have hinges closer to the centre. So unlike buying replacement 1 disc Amaray cases (where you can take the trays you have and slot them in), you might have to buy 1, 2 and 3 disc Viva cases to suit your needs.

I think Disney have switched to Eco cases lately, Brave had normal Elite cases while Wreck-It Ralph has the Eco-look cases.

Well, I just wanna replace my UK Pixar cases first so whatever cases they use, I think I only have a few that are more than one disc. I also realised i'm gonna have to trim the cover ever so slightly.

Most UK covers fit fine in US cases although there will be a few that don't fit. Some cases seem to have more room for the cover than others.

I just tested with Toy Story (UK) and Finding Nemo (US). TS was kinda crumpled and bubbly in the small case.

Here it is.

I tried The Ghost in my Iron Man 2 case and it was a bit big but every one I try in my Mamma Mia! case fits, it's one of those cases with a clasp on the side.

i get what you mean with the 'continuity reasons' comment lol 'cus i have a couple US cases in my UK collection and that kind of annoys me.. but it's gonna be such an effort replacing your whole collection (depending on how many you have)!! GOOD LUCK

I've replaced a lot of UK cases with US slimmer cases, they're loads better. I'll never understand why there's two different sizes - who originally said "thicker cases will work better in the UK"

Well i'm really only interest in replacing the Pixar ones at the moment. Really annoyed me that the UK Iron Man 2 was the odd thin case for us.

Whats the worst 11mm to avoid?

There are quite a few. Anything ITV related (Shawshank Redemption, Goodnight Mr. Tom etc), Apocalypto, 30 Days of Night and Training Day have 11mm cases although these can be found in normal cases I think.

It's weird though - I thought ITV films came out in 11mm cases (like my copy of Black Narcissus), but when my copy of The Shawshank Redemption arrived from Amazon the other month it was in an Amaray case...

My opinion of them differs in that I prefer them - they take up less room, simple as that. All my Artificial Eye releases except Zatoichi and Hidden are in slim cases, as are my Axiom films releases (Paris, Texas and Wings Of Desire) and a few others (Tabu, Uncle Boonmee, Blackthorn). For 2-disc releases, BFI or MoC and slipcover releases I obviously like the normal width cases, but I do like the thinner cases when I get them!

My STOKER 11mm BR case is very thin feeling, it has like a recycle logo cut in as well, what are those? They're horrid.

Really decent video, cheers! I like the idea of the DVD's as well to add to the BR's. Seeing as DVD's are worthless 2nd hand its a good way to keep hold of the special features discs.
