Yeah, thats it. Also, some TVs can only show what they can show, meaning that dark scene detail is limited which mimics a "dark" image. LCDs and cheaper LEDs suffer from this issue of crushed blacks and or washed out dark scenes.

I'm not going to laugh (even do I kind of did ) but I see your point, some new remasters do look a bit dark. It's just dark colors though, but I don't want to adjust my tv to see it the way I want to. Sorry I laughed, your presentation of this thread was hilarious though

I know my TV has a thing that dims screen according to how bright my room is. "Ambient Sensor" or something.

Turn that ***** off!

It's your TV. But note that some transfers such as 'Green Lantern' are darker. Can't think of any other title that suffers from this issue though.

They have controlled contrast. You're probably used to overblown contrast.

I surprised you even figured out how to hook up a PS3 or Blu-ray player to your TV...

Is it just me or...

is deeper blacks and better color saturation, offering a more true representation of the directors vision, one of the perks of Blu-ray?!

I agree with the others that have said this an issue with the OP's display and not the blu-rays.
