This movie will not even get a glance from me, I don't care if Jolie was naked on the cover. I hate it when people make movies as stupid as this one!

I sure hope by the time this comes out, all parties will be releasing to Blu so it will be Blu in USA.
I think right now it is still under Paramount for US distribution.

I thought this was a good movie. Not because of the almost nudity... rather how accurate this story was to the original, with modern twists and interpretations. In fact it is based on a NEW book written by Neil Gaiman who essentially "re-wrote" the original for a more modern audience.
Of course it is not the perfect film, but as an animation buff, this was awesome!

If Paramount doesn't go Blu by the time they release it, Warner has the Asian rights, at least, for this title. So it'll be region free BD.

I don't think that's a proper art though.

I thought the movie was pretty good. Though I was familiar with the beowulf/grendel story before.
The special effects or whatever you want to call them is a little wierd. I kind of wish it was live action instead of CGI/live action hybrid thing.

I wish they would delete the "I will kill your monster" part on the cover and leave it as the theatrical poster.

One of the most original of the year, quite apart from all the CG. Most interesting take on the Beowulf story by Avary and Gaiman -- those names alone should tell you that this is way classier than your average studio flick.

Disc art could be better, but it's a definite purchase.

I really enjoyed it and as mentioned before it is pretty true to the original, which makes it even better...
The cover art is kind of crappy, especially the " I will kill your monster " part, that needs to go! But who knows, the US cover might look completely different as it happened with other releases.
I saw this in Real 3D and wish they'd bring out a copy like this with the goggles!
It was a very interesting experience, although it took a few minutes to get used to it. Definite buy for me

I think Uk/Europe has a different distributor, so this thread is really about the import.
