Hi all, I finally became a PS3 owner and I'm ready to buy some blu ray movies but I'm sort of confused. First off my HDTV is a sony kdfe50a10 which has a native 720p but supports inputs from 480i/p,720p, and 1080i. TV is connected to PS3 via HDMI. Here is the question.
1. Will a 1080p movie (BBCversion of planet earth) play on my TV since it does not support 1080p? or will the PS3 or TV downscale it to a 720p native resolution? 2. Which version of planet earth (uS or BBC) would be a better match with my TV?? 2. Will i get the full HD effect with a native 720p TV or should I think about upgarding soon to a 1080 ready TV? 3. Someone explain my TV support inputs.Does it mean if I play a 1080i movie is my TV only gonna show it at a 720p since thats the native res???? Hopefully that makes sense . I just need some things cleared up fpr me. Thanks |
