does PS3 play DVDs anymore? i bought i rare dvd for me last night and didn't play and then i another one i had and it didn't won't work, it the PS3 now a Blu-ray only player?

Strange,the ps3 certainly play's DVD's,if it's not a region coding issue and it is happening to all your discs then it must be faulty.

well, i think its time for a new one, it will only play Netflix and my 2 downloaded games

Seriously, there is now more than enough PS3 games on the market and to save space, you need to make choices / remove options.

I hardly ever watch DVDs anymore, especially since I got the projector with the 106" screen, but I over the last few months, out of the about 3 DVDs I've popped into the PS3, 2 have frozen the unit, where I've had to unplug and plug back in. Strange.

i got one more question for you, i want to backup my PS3 before mine new one comes, i got external hard drive can i backup mine PS3 if i make it a fat32 drive? and is it easy to converted it back?
