X-Files series on Blu-ray...is there a chance?

It's my all-time favorite show and would love to see it come to the format. People have said it will never happen because it would be very expensive to re-master. Is this something we can realistically expect to see some day?

If Paramount can somehow get TNG onto a Blu-Ray, then Fox can get The X-Files onto Blu-Ray.

That's a very good point. The X-Files dvd's look pretty bad. After being exposed to blu-ray I just can't watch them anymore.

I'd love to see this on bd, can't see it happening though considering the last movie didn't do so well, I'd love to see a final movie and a complete series blu ray box set with all the movies and seasons packed with every bonus feature known to man

Totally unrelated, the success of a movie years after the series ended is no indication of the demand for the show. Fox knows it will sell all they have to do is look at the DVD sales to tell them that. It would require a good remaster but that is not as expensive as people make it out to be.

I've talked to Blu-Titan about it, as I've always tried to "clean up" the Wish List subforum, but he said it's easier to just lock the threads as opposed to merging them?
I guess as long as people are getting the information, it doesn't matter by which means!

That's because the last movie was awful--it wouldn't even have been good as a stand alone episode for season 8 or 9 of the series. Why did they bother to make a serial killer story as a final X-Files movie? No story arcs tied into this that were worthwhile.

Seasons 4 and 5 would look pretty amazing in Blu.
