I don't know if a movie needs to or even should be perfect.

But hold a water pistol to my head and I'd say that Psycho was perfect. And that judgement is dependent on that scene at the end. Not in spite of it.

My sentimental perfect scene is from the theatrical version of Return of the Jedi.

The Emperor is reigning down lightning on Luke. Luke begs his father for help. Then, as the music swells (my god, John Williams) without saying a word, Vader/Anakin acts.

Perfect.

Overall, I think 12 Angry Men is damn near perfect.
