I hope this will include the Pay-per-view/workprint Version of City of Angels as an extra, or at least the deleted scenes.

Not the greatest film in the world but i have a soft spot for it, amazing soundtrack too.

My echo bridge disc goes straight to the garbage, can't risk selling it to a CD shop as somebody might buy it...

EIV has the rights to the first film in England. It's a 1080/50i transfer that's pretty good. Plus, the UK release isn't reframed like the U.S. release.

The Echo Bridge release is the director's cut edited down to match the run time of the theatrical cut.

Still not listed on Amazon. Is this an HMV exclusive?

Will pick this up day one. I still don't understand why Lionsgate didn't want to pick up these titles in the US when they already own the rights to them in the UK.

I explained in my thread of titles that are at both Echo Bridge and Lionsgate, it boils down to whatever was available for them to get. I'm not sure who was really first to bite at these collection of titles, Lionsgate or Echo Bridge, even though it's probably Lionsgate. Anywho, from my emails that I've sent to EB, they don't have The Crow: Salvation and oddly on Miramax's facebook page; they are promoting buying the Crow films, but the third film isn't present at all.

I presume you're referring to this thread. The situation is still a complete and total cluster****.

Ain't the UK release of the first film meant to be pretty piss poor?

No, for a 1080i transfer, it's pretty good. Some screencaps: http://postimage.org/gallery/53oiev2/

I enjoyed the hell out of The Crow: Salvation, so I hope that eventually gets released over here. What's the chances of this set being region-free? I don't want the second film, but I'll take it if it means having Salvation in HD.

1. The Crow --> A COMPLETE MASTERPIECE

2. The Crow: Salvation --> A FILM WORTHY ENOUGH OF THE CROW NAME

3. The Crow: City of Angels --> AN OKAY FILM PLAGUED WITH PROBLEMS

4. The Crow: Wicked Prayer --> ONE OF THE BIGGEST P.O.S. EVER

The problem I have with Salvation, is that it feels like a TV movie.

They used quite a few practical sets and even had a real helicopter in one scene, yet it all looks fake and filmed on a soundstage.
I was convinced that was a model helicopter, until I saw the behind the scenes feature.

Also, Eric Mabius has maybe two facial expressions.
His acting got better over the years, but he's woeful in this and Resident Evil.

Ok, I'd heard of but never seen The Crow, I don't really know much about it. But how did I manage to miss the 3 sequels it spawned?
