Default Solo man's HT setup

Here is my setup and I hope I can join you guys in the forum as I update my setup. I am in the process of gutting out my Kef Q speakers and also, as you can see slowly upgrading my setup. I want to upgrade with amps, seating, turntable and acoustic paneling but will be a slow process.

Just got a new center and some mini bookshelves. Hopefully, years from now, I can look back and see the progression.

Thanks guys, I do love Grey Goose Martini's as well. I will admit that I do like to have a drink when I am listening to music and gets me in a nice relaxed mode.

Very nice HT room you have put together Solo. Love the bar near by too. Great selection of gear. Looks like a nice place to hang out with family and friends. I'm the resident subwoofer guy/fool around here and if you want to discuss maybe moving up to the next level of subwoofer performance let me know. Welcome to our club here.

Thanks for the offer and I will visit the subwoofer section when I am ready and was researching a little on Rythmik F12 Signature. I don't know how their service is and am always hesitant ordering from the U.S.A. I usually shop from the local stereo shop I deal with. There are other upgrades I want to do first but definitely would like to talk when I am ready.

It looks awesome, those PSB towers are sexy. Stylish room and bar too. Can't wait to see what you do with it down the road.

Just added another amp to my setup and got a good deal on it. Wow, this thing is beefy and am happy with my purchase. Here is the pic of the Parasound Halo A21. This is now powering the front speakers and use the A23 to power the front wide speakers.

Here is a pic of the heatsink of the A21 which is on both sides of the amp.

Here are the RCA interconnects which I got cheap for 1.5 meter at 50.00. I don't believe in cables making a difference but if I can get a deal then I bite. Here is a pic of the Kimber PBJ with Ultraplate connector.

Very nice. Have you had any issues with your PT-AE7000. I've been very happy with mine. I haven't had the flickering or ghosting problems that others have reported.

Thanks and its not a Bryston but sufficient for my setup. I was eyeing the Bryston 4B SST2 at Bay Bloor Radio but even with a great discount, it was not in my price range. So I got a great deal on the Halo with the other store I deal with. I love your setup and you have great taste in gear.

I see you on AVS forums as well and just joined both these forums but have been into Music/HT for quite a while. I understand why you are asking me about the AE7000 and just like you; had zero problems yet in 2D and 3D. I have seen the numerous threads of the problems in the Panny 7000 thread over there at AVS and was skeptical too. But here is the thing, I have an open mind and will read reviews/suggestions but always let my eyes and ears do the decision making. I purchased this projector at the end of the cycle and maybe I got lucky with this projector but I am impressed with it so far. This projector is dead quiet in eco mode as well and the picture in 3D is stunning. I hope to make friends here and hope we can talk more in the future.

@DangeRuss, thanks and you have a nice TT.

Solo the Parsound is no slouch . A lot of my gear I got used including the 6B-SST and Sub 15.

I know Baybloor and Audioville in Montreal sell a lot of Bryston gear with Totem for Instance, rest assure the pairing is fabulous.

I would have never spent the asking price for a 6B-SST2 as it is more than double what I paid and the price does not include tax, If you truly want to go the Bryston route at some point scan over CAM and you might find a 4B-SST for a fraction of the price of what the 4B-SST2 sales for, you could have 13-15 years left on the warranty.

Based on your system, I figured you had done your homework. Mine is from a later run as well.

@Spurrier Sucks, thanks and we both have Peachtree Audio amps too.

@BigAl87, I saw the Bryston 4B-SST2 at Bay Bloor Radio here in Toronto and love dealing with those guys but I wanted new and it was out of my price range. I was reading on some other forum that Bryston changed their warranty status on some of the older items hence why you were probably telling me to look at something with 15 years of warranty left. I think the warranty says something like they will only transfer warranty to new owner if there is a receipt from authorized dealers and within a certain date range. I am not too sure about the specifics.

I stayed with Parasound because I have the A23 first and loved the amp. Also, every time I emailed Parasound, I got immediate response from the President Richard. That level of customer service impressed me. I bought the A21 new because I usually buy everything new except for my remote.

@rpatt, I am pretty careful in what I am trying purchase and do appreciate when I get good advice that I can affirm with my own viewing and listening.

Thanks to others with their comments.

Any Amps produced after Febuary 2006 require a copy of the original receipt. Before that I don't think you need it.

Quote:
As of 2006-02-22 Bryston will only warranty Bryston products purchased through authorized Bryston dealers. Bryston products with a date code of 0608 or higher (date code format is “yyww”, where “yy” is the two least significant digits of the year and “ww” is the week of the year) must be accompanied by a copy of the bill-of-sale from a Bryston authorized dealer to qualify for warranty service. The warranty is transferable from the original owner to a subsequent owner as long as a copy of the bill-of-sale from the original authorized Bryston dealer accompanies the re-sale. The copy of the bill of sale to any subsequent owner need ONLY include the Name of the Bryston Authorized Dealer and the Model and Serial number of the Bryston product. The warranty will only be honoured in the country of the original purchase unless otherwise pre-authorized by Bryston.

Yoiu still made an amazing move on that Halo
