lol, kinda agree.

I keep mind if they are attached on day of purchase because if you resell people want them included.

This right here.

I don't really care whether or not something is released with a slipcover or not (although if it is and I miss out on it, I'll be kinda sorta maybe vaguely miffed), but I'm not gonna throw it away. It's not like it takes up additional shelf space! (and even if it did, I'd still find a way to store it)

And you know those paper slips they glue to the backs of box sets and steelbooks? I store those in a folder too. Pretty much the only thing I might throw away that comes with a blu or DVD I get is the distributor's catalogue if it comes with one.

It seems like almost every other thread in here nowadays is about collecting slip covers, steel books, digibooks etc., but I personally would almost be willing to pay a dollar or two more to just have the standard Amaray case. The only thing that I can think of that I would rather have the big case for is Close Encounters, and that's because it comes with the extra special features disc that's not available with the single disc version. I normally don't even care about special features, but this is Close Encounters.

I find it interesting that threads discussing things that have no audio/video merit are strongly encouraged on this site nowadays, but people that really care about the quality of the audio/video and less for the freakin' container of the disc seem to be discouraged from having an opinion.

Every time a new release is mentioned, lots of people chime in with "I hope it has a slip-case" or "steel-book" or "digibook" or other such nonsense, instead of "I hope it looks faithful to the original" or "I hope they get the audio right". I find that incredibly frustrating.

I actually have a trash bag that I collect and save my slipcovers and such in.

Edit: This thread will probably eventually be closed or deleted as a "hater" thread.

I hate slipcovers they are pointless pieces of paper.

Kind of like this thread.

You must not visit the trading section or you would know how valuable the item is you're throwing away.

I keep them even if I sell the movie. I just can't toss it.

Another pointless thread that should be closed. OK, we get it, you don't like slipcovers. How many times has this been discussed on this site? Same goes for pointless threads about steelbooks. Come on folks, give it up already
