Has anyone tried Viacom Blurays?
How's their audio and video quality? Came across their BD of 'Bbudah Hoga Tera Baap' with not so good PQ and without any lossless audio track. Basically an upscaled DVD packed in a Bluray case. No idea about their other titles like Kahaani/ Players. Hope they were good. Anyone having any info?

And as always, NO SALE! NO SALE! NO SALE! Without doubt, Shamearoo is run by a bunch of idiots who have absolutely zero marketing acumen.

Once again watermark ruined everything! i woud'nt have mind buying this blu-ray even if it was done with average authoring! But doing a good encode and then ruining it by applying these stupid watermarks is SHEMAROO! Idiots!!!

There's no hope that their future releases would not have any watermark, as every other DVD they introduce into the market 99 out of 100 have their watermark ( except some NFDC movies). When a company has not learnt from their past record of more than 10 years (Dvd) and 2 years (BD) what will they learn now. They make use of watermark to stop piracy. They may be able to remove their stuff from some sites, but every other Bluray/DVD out by them is easily available on the net to download and even if their is one single download source on the net it's enough. Their continuation with their company's policy though will not have an impact on their DVD sales, but would result in less sale of their BD's.

Pray tell, how in the world does a watermark help in stopping piracy? If after all these years the geniuses at Shamearoo have not figured this out, then I actually feel sorry for them. Strangely enough, they are the only one's in bollywood who are intelligent enough to have still not figured out yet, that watermarks are only hampering their legitimate sales instead of stopping piracy. I personally am very strongly against piracy, except when it comes to Shamearoo. My recommendation to one and all in the case of Shemaroo titles is, please buy pirated only.

PS: If Shamearoo so strongly believes that watermarks stop piracy, then why don't they explain to us how it does so?

To the contrary, watermark is actually encouraging piracy - why would I pay 4-5 times the ticket price after 3-6 months of waiting - for a crappy watermarked version??

God knows when will these companies start taking Indian customers seriously. Shemaroo retards don't know what quality is, I wish some US company could encode blu-rays for us.

Since the cover of this disc shows the logos of both Shemaroo and Viacom 18, I guess this disc can be considered as a joint Shemaroo - Viacom 18 release.

So, I would be surprised if a seperate Viacom release (without watermark) gets released. (like happened with Kahaani)

OMG does not just feature the usual Shemaroo watermark though. A couple of times during the movie a special animated watermark pops up to highlight the 50th anniversary of Shemaroo.
Double the watermark - Double the fun ???

Still, I had a lot of fun watching this blu-ray. Since my knowledge of hindi is only very basic I watch my hindi blu-rays with subtitles, which are way more noticeable than the low-contrast Shemaroo watermark. (hindi speakers who don't have to rely on subtitles might be more annoyed by the Shemaroo-watermark.)
