Easy to find Region Free player?

Hey guys..

I'm in a bit of a pickle. I bought a boat load of British TV shows on DVD and my older LG player decided it was time to stop working. I know of the websites that sell modded and hacked players, but the LG I used to have was a simple disc mod on a player bought at Best Buy. Plus, I'd like to replace it today since I have company that wants to watch the latest Downton Abbey. I've looked around at the current models on Best Buy and Walmart (and a few other box chains) and I don't seem to be coming across a player that was as simple as my older LG.

Do you guys know of any readily available DVD players that can be made region free that I could be overlooking? PAL/NTSC conversation needed for certain TVs.

Blu ray capability is not needed since I have plenty of Blu ray players and I never buy region locked Blu's anyway. I went through the cheaper option thread and did not come across any locally sold items so help is much needed.
