I hope I put it right in my thread title..
The last 4-5 years I'm discovering all the films I have missed, mainly because I was dissapointed in the new movies in many ways (not good music, heavy CGI oriented, digital look etc etc). I love the grainy look of the classic films, the theatrical performances of the actors, genres that are no longer alive like the classic musicals, the care of the creators in the special effects which impress me more than today's CGI, the old classical sound of the film music etc.) So, the movies I am watching the last years are: 80% from 1930 - 1980 15% from 1980-2000 (mainly until 1997) which is the era in which I grew up (born in 1980) so I have many favourite films 5% (or less) from 2000 and on I feel I want to be more mature than this now, to be able to watch pre-1930 films, so there is a place for that period too in the near future.. So, what do you watch mostly? Last edited by filmmusic; 12-10-2012 at 10:57 AM. |
