Amazon is starting to really irritate me. I get a notice yesterday that my CC was not able to be charged and blah blah (all that spending on blu). So I put in a new card.
All was well. I come home later that night and see that my Die Hard collection is in the "shipping soon" mode. I jump with joy. Usually when that happens it changes to "shipped" later that evening and I get a notice. No notice and I checked this morning and it's still at "shipping soon". So, anyone else having problems? I am hoping it's a glitch in their system and it has not updated but did ship. If not I will be kinda pissed off. ![]() |

Hairspray shipped on time for me, but not Die Hard. Even with Amazon Prime two day, I probably won't get the movies until Thanksgiving now. Thanks Amazon...

Shipped with Prime 2 Day. At least, that is how it should have been. Still not shipped. It's pissing me off.
Amazon is now seeing it's Prime members using the 2 day to get their items at the same time as Next Day shipping so Amazon is probably delaying it so people will start paying the 3.99 next day shipping fee. |

I received the shipping notification for the Die Hard set and Hair Spray late last night. I think they're probably fulfilling a LOT of orders.
Call/Email Amazon and complain about it. They are pretty good at customer service and may give you a one-time discount code for your inconvenience. |

All the people who paid for same day, 2 day shipping as well as PRIME members get their orders fulfilled first.
If you think about the fact that they have so many to ship out causing a delay is a good thing for Blu-ray. I still think they should double their replication facilities though. The amount of people buying BR movies is out pacing the volume they can produce. |

Both Hairspray and the Die Hard Quadrilogy shipped yesterday for me. Not Prime and non-expidited (and international) shipping. Gary |

Replication is a much bigger issue than just Amazon's delays.
This is why no matter where you go, even Best Buy that the new release movies are often times not available. They can't make them fast enough, and not enough to go around. Replication time is limited as other titles are scheduled for their own time slots. this is also why once a title is delayed it has to be fitted back at a later date. I'm am very sure AMAZON orders way more than they are actually alloted. As does all the B&M naturally because they want to make money. but the bottom line is that they just can't make enough of them fast enough. In turn this WILL cause shipping delays. Naturally if a customer pays for priority shipping you ship theirs out first. If there is a limited allotment well then you'll just have to wait till they get their re-stock = delay. Amazon did the same thing to me. It sat in "Shipping Soon" status all day and then never went out last night. They are clueless. I have had enough of their antics with shipping delays and product availability and was on the phone multiple times yesterday because of a new error this week. I usually spend between $500-$600 per month and they don't care, so I cancelled about $1100 worth of preorders last night and told them to f%ck off.
My business will be appreciated again at DVD Empire or a smaller place that gets orders out on time and pre-orders up when announced. I'd rather pay more for better service and less headaches. I also made them credit me for the remainder of my unused Prime membership. I've had it with the poor, unknowledable staff and crappy service. |
