Default Best "late night" blu-ray in your collection...

Some films just seem suited for viewing after midnight.

For me, I'm most likely to grab The Song Remains The Same by Led Zeppelin (1976).

Their music is already magic. But something about grabbing that blue case and popping it in around 1 in the morning just makes the film all the more great. You can settle in with some popcorn and ice cold coca colas and see the moonlight shine through the window as that 30 minute version of "Dazed And Confused" rolls around.

I love that film and never tire of it. By the time 4 in the morning comes, you know you've seen something special.

same for me.

the type of movie depends on my mood. but i usually watch my movies starting around 10:00pm, 9:30pm at the earliest.

which, if you think about it, is kinda weird since i can't turn up the sound due to everyone else being asleep.

Great selection!

Final Fantasy The Spirits Within has always been a late night favorite for me for whatever reason. Any sort of Sci Fi film really is perfect for late night viewing come to think of it for me along with horror films.

I'm a nightowl too, but if I had to choose some "late night" movies in my collection I'd go with:

Both great films with ultra-cool vibes. It just feels right to watch these at night.

+1 for Drive, great late night movie. Absolutely love the soundtrack for it. I really need to add that to my collection. I still have hopes of one day getting the HMV steel for it so I guess that's why I haven't picked it up yet

I definitely feel like certain movies more than others when it gets around 12-1 in the morning. These last few weeks ive been watching the Matrix trilogy or Blade Runner late at night, they just feel right.

I definitely agree with Taxi Driver and Drive. I'd also have to add Grindhouse. There is just something about watching the entire 3 hour presentation of that film at midnight that feels right on.

The first time I watched Eyes Wide Shut was late at night and the the whole late night odyssey and overal mystery of film film make it a good late night movie.

Any of David Lynch's movies are probably good at night but Mullholland Drive in particular is great at night.

Donnie Darko, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Alien, The Omen, Swingers, The 'Burbs, Joe Vs. the Volcano, Galaxy Quest, and any of Christopher Nolan's films are also all late night favorites.

Hmmm +1 for Blade Runner and Drive.

I'll add Alien, Se7en, Watchmen (if you can stay up ), any of the Underworld films, TRON Legacy, Let Me In/LTROI, Monster House, The Matrix Trilogy, Colateral, The Crow, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo...guess I could add more, but these are good.

On second thought, I don't even think I've ever watched any of these late like that.
