My thoughts as well. Just checked to see how much the CD set was going for on eBay and it's only about $100 which is surprising. I was hoping I could recoup some of the cost if I went for the Mono LP, but that really isn't much. The used vinyl goes for well over a grand now.


The LP-set is advertised as a Beatles store exclusive but a few people online think it will be available at other retailers.

Most of the MONO CD sets on ebay are Chinese knockoffs. They are rampant, you even have to be careful ordering from third party sellers on amazon. The first givaway is that the music is stereo. Plus McCartney's name is misspelled several times on the Revolver sleeve.

I purchased my CD set used about 4 years ago or so and was aware of the bootleg issue. I think I purchased my copy from a reputable seller and it is indeed a legit set. It is a rather nice set and doesn't feel cheap with a glossy finish, so I am pretty sure it is genuine. I will have to check out the Revolver sleeve for the misspelling. I think one of the red flags had to do with the apple on the front being a different shade of green.
