United Kingdom Breaking Bad Seasons 1, 2 & 3 and eventually 4.

Quick and painful I expect, DO the American releases of this masterpiece play on UK PS3s?

I can buy Sons of bloody Anarchy for £18 on Blu but not Walt, Gus & the gang,

All "Breaking Bad" US discs are Region A locked.

Breaking Bad Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are available now in Australia (Region B UK, AU) for about 16GBP (25AUD) each. Not sure if they knock off GST (10%)

They don't, comes to about £25 including shipping. I've just ordered season 3 - by mistake mostly as I was just trying to see how much the total came to and assumed it would tell me that before completing the order. Ah well, my fault - and I did want season 3 so that's not bad.

Old Thread, I know, but if you are still looking for these there are english friendly German editions circa 20 euros each at the moment. They were circa 15 euros a week or two ago so worth keeping an eye on.

Bear in mind the above German releases do not feature all of the extra features from the US releases

The text is all in German, so it's not really English friendly? It is in the region sense.

Well everything on the actual discs is in English - menus, episode titles, extras etc. The only thing that's in german is the BD sleeve.

How about subtitles? Lots of Spanish as the series progresses.

I've bought the German discs and it's all in English - including the subtitles for the spoken Spanish.

In regards to extras - I don't think they're missing much from the US counterparts. I know Season 4 lacks commentaries, apart from that they're identical as far as I know. I could be wrong though!

Thinking of ordering Breaking Bad from AUS, just have one question.

I'm a pretty big commentary fan, and was wondering if the region B Australia versions have the audio commentaries like the region A US release?
Its the only thing stopping me from buying them from Germany.

Thanks in advance

If you look on the retailer devoteddvd.com.au website you can see back sleeves.
Looking at these S4 has no commentaries listed so matches Germany.

Sony obviously did what many studios do in Europe which is strip the commentary when they add all the foreign language dubs. Is stupid as unlike DVD on BD there is usually space to leave it on.

Just import the US versions. This awesome show deserves the best possible presentation!

Unlike Walter White, Sony are cowards! They wont do what's unnecessary for us Europeans...

Not everyone has a region free player, and the US ones are region- locked. That's why people have been recommending the German and Australian versions here.

Strange that they removed them for Season 4 and not the other seasons though.

I hear a lot about UK folk acquiring Region Free players for very little money. There's no excuse by that point

(If you're in Denmark however, it's gonna cost you... A LOT)

Money isn't really the issue, if you've got a PS3 like me you don't want another Blu-ray player next to it. It wouldn't look that good, and you might not have the room (like me).

They tried to sell for years but now Netflix UK have the exclusive deal here, so will be a long wait for TV rights to be available again.
