Default Need some purchasing advise

Hi everyone,

Over this past weekend we found out my 2 yr old son broke my 2011 65" GT Plasma!! Devastating news and we now have a new rule of not throwing things in the house.

Of course I'm back in the TV market. The wall in was hanging on is pretty big. The Ceilings are really high so a 65" doesn't really look like a big TV. And we sit about 11'-13' from the screen.

Is it wise to buy a 82" DLP? I saw some at my store (local hi fi store). I want something a little bigger than 65" and I'm not a big fan of the 70" Sharps. They had the 82" DLP setup and it looked really good. My parents & uncle still have DLP's and I thing there solid TV's for the $.

My other option is getting another Panasonic 65" GT Plasma or splurging on the 'Elite' 70". Awesome TV!!

I'm not sure I want to spend $ on a TV. For my birthday I was gonna spoil myself w/ B&W 803 Diamonds. And I won't do that if I got the 70" Elite.

Suggestions? Thanks.
