United Kingdom Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 Movie

Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultramarines.../dp/B005LG8IFM

I've been looking to get this for a friend for Christmas but nowhere has stock of it. You'd think it didn't exist! Ebay has no listings, under both completed and active. What's the deal - was it that limited? How much did it retail for?

Thanks for any info guys!

The official site sees to suggest there was only ever a DVD, not a BD of this:

I thought the same until this: http://uk.webuy.com/search/index.php...ack=1&mode=buy Also, Amazon have a separate listing for a blu-ray release.

There was 1 in stock this morning, so I took a chance and ordered. I'll update when I receive it.

I did notice that, but Amazon have done that before with blu-ray releases. Also, the Warhammer entry on this site has now been edited to say 'No release date'. I wonder what I'm going to get for £12 then...

The blu ray was originally limited edition direct from the makers, never released to retail so who knows what will turn up? Have you seen trailers or clips online? I personally didn't like it as it differed from the established fiction too much.

No, I haven't seen anything on it at all. I've heard mixed reviews about it but this will be a Christmas present for my best mate who loves the franchise. Hopefully, it's decent.

So does the actual blu ray of this movie actually exist or is it just a myth? I've only ever seen the dvd edition (a mere £26!) advertised, and have no intention of paying that for a 70 minute animated film. Anyone shed light on whether this film is due for release on BD or anything? Thank you.

Apologies, I totally forgot about this thread! I did receive a blu-ray and will try to get pics up later/this weekend. I am without my PS3 (my only blu-ray player) so haven't been able to test this disc yet.

Hey, no need to wait until you have BD access, after all, blu ray cases and discs don't look like DVD's, so photograph both of those with your phone and upload the images right here.

Sorry to bump this, but the Rare-As-Hens-Teeth blu ray edition of this film has surfaced on Amazon.co.uk in rare quantities. Apparently it is a 2 disc edition, with the second disc being a dvd, same content as the double-dvd edition.

My sealed copy of the film arrived today, tuesday the 18th, and it's a fine package. Containing a first-class Full HD transfer of the movie and a second, region-free NTSC disc packed with extra's, this film is about as good as it gets as an intro to the 40K universe for the uninitiated. The film could have been extremely dense due to it's mytholgy, but famed Black Library 40K author Dan Abnett crafts a screenplay that is accessible to the casual viewer, and with a first-rate voice cast (John Hurt, Terence Stamp, Sean Pertwee) carves out a fast-paced adventure featuring Macragge's finest. Add to that a first-class score and an exacting amount of detail from 40K's 25 year history, and no Warhammer 40'000 fan should be disappointed.
