Default Die Hard 4... PG-13 or re-confirmed unrated version?

I remember there was gripe about the BD version being PG-13, I want to say I read an article somewhere they confirmed later it would be unrated...

can someone refresh my memory?

PG-13.

Fox will double dip with an unrated version sometime in the future.

Well that sucks.... I guess I will wait. I already have the first 3 in SD. So I will get all 4 unrated later.

Die Hard 4 isn't even a Die Hard movie to me unless they add some more R content to an unrated version. Whos stupid idea was it to make a Die Hard movie pg-13. Seriously Die Hard has never been a movie for kids.

wasn't the theatrical version pg-13? if so what are you all complaining about... none of you have even seen the unrated. personally, i see no reason in waiting to purchase the unrated copy especially if the theatrical version was pg-13... i saw it and loved it. and just because there is an unrated cut doesn't neccisarly make the movie more graphic or bloody (although in some case it does, but not always).

I was talking about this at another thread. Someone reviewd the dvd unrated version and said there isnt much of a difference, mostly cursing and a little more cgi. For this i wont hold on getting the movie. Buy for me.
You guys can read the review. Its from the UK, even the guy doesnt seem to like the movie a lot, at least we get for the first time, some info on the difference between the two films.

I am a Die Hard fan and I was very dissapointed for a PG-13 release. I felt let down and ripped of by the editors. Plus, I doubt if we will ever see another film to make up for it. Now Alien vs. Predator 2 looks like they did it right! They figured it out that PG-13 sequels are nonsense!

Exactly. I saw it in theaters (Studio Movie Grill) with friends and we loved it. I still think this was the best movie of the year, action wise.

I don`t know why people are crying about this. If you need extra 2 minutes of and swear words to buy a movie, jesus that is sad.

I have to admit i was little skeptical about the PG-13, i taught maybe its like 15 minutes or more. but for a little swearing. No big deal. Still it was pretty Hard Pg-13 anyways.

I really didn't notice the rating after I was about 15 minutes into the movie. Bruce Willis was right when he said to trust him, you will like it despite the PG-13 rating.

It's not so much that the swearing is missing. Frankly, I couldn't care less. But the edits are so obvious that it detracts from the enjoyment of an otherwise great movie.

This is what I didn't like either. You can see their mouths say one thing, but then the dubbed over voice said something else. It was almost like a R rated movie on TBS with the voice over, only they got the actual actor to do it! Don't get me started on when they put a gun shot over McLanes famous line! But I can't say I didn't enjoy it and I'll still get it. And then I'll probably buy the unrated version too...

I liked the movie just as much as I did the others. I'll be buying the theatrical cut.

It was posted before. The director did not have the unrated version done in time for the Blu Ray version. So I do see a double-dip but I am sure if it was better to release day and date than to wait. I think day and date sells more than catalog titles, not sure I blame them.
