Default The Lost Years of Merlin

The Lost Years of Merlin Green-lit

Quote:
Warner Bros. has approved a big-budget adaptation of The Lost Years of Merlin, the first instalment in a 5-book series of fantasy novels by American author T.A. Barron, Heat Vision reports.

The series tells the story of a young boy who washes up on the shores of Wales, with no memories of his past, and follows his journey to become England's greatest wizard and a mentor to King Arthur.

With the final Harry Potter film out this summer, there will certainly be space for a new story about a boy who becomes a wizard.

IGN first reported on the adaptation when Mr. and Mrs. Smith director Simon Kinberg was attached, but now the project is at Warner Bros., the search for a new director is on.
Sounds interesting and will be cool to see if it does turn out to be the next Potter for WB.
